ProgramsPrograms that meet diverse learning needs.
The Roadways Learning Foundation supports the programs that give children with dyslexia and learning differences across Saskatchewan access to the specialized support they need, from full-time school enrolment to flexible one-on-one tutoring to educator development.
01 - Roadways Literacy Academy
A school designed for children who learn differently.
Roadways Literacy Academy is an Alternative School in Saskatoon built for children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and related learning differences.
Students receive the full Saskatchewan curriculum through structured literacy, an evidence-based approach rooted in the Science of Reading. Classes have a maximum 4:1 student-teacher ratio, and many sessions are one-on-one.
On average, Roadways students gain a full grade level of reading ability within 20 weeks — roughly twice the rate of their peers in traditional classrooms. The Academy also offers an Entrepreneurship Program, and flexible enrolment from 3 to 5 days per week.
02 - Roadways Tutoring Studio
High intensity one-on-one support.
Not every family needs a full school transition.
The Roadways Tutoring Studio offers high-intensity, individualized tutoring for students outside of full Academy enrolment. Every session is 90 minutes, one-on-one, and built around a program designed specifically for that child.
Tutors receive the same in-depth training used at the Academy. Progress is monitored continuously, and programs shift as students grow. Sessions are available in-person in Saskatoon and online, making the Studio accessible to families across rural Saskatchewan and beyond.
03 - Roadways Learning & Development
When educators are equipped, students thrive.
Strengthening educator capacity is one of the most urgent needs in Saskatchewan’s literacy landscape.
Most teachers enter the profession without specialized training in how to identify, support, and teach students with dyslexia and related learning differences. Yet these students are present in every classroom, in every community.
Roadways Learning & Development directly addresses this gap. Our training equips educators with the practical, evidence‑based tools they need to deliver instruction that is responsive, structured, and grounded in how the brain actually learns to read. When teachers gain these skills, the impact is immediate: students who once struggled begin to access learning in ways that were previously out of reach.
This work strengthens the entire education system. By building a shared foundation of knowledge and practice across Saskatchewan’s educators, we are creating consistency, confidence, and long‑term sustainability in literacy support.
Our early training initiatives have demonstrated strong promise, and the interest from schools, communities, and partner groups continues to grow.
Roadways Learning & Development is not simply a professional offering — it is a strategic investment in educational equity.
When educators are equipped, students thrive, families feel supported, and communities benefit from stronger literacy outcomes that last a lifetime.
